Rascal Flatts' concert in Noblesville, Indiana last night (Thursday) was cut short when fans were asked to evacuate the venue before the group's encore.
Concertgoer, Britni Sherlock tells the Indianapolis Star, "Everyone booed. We continued to wait in the pavilion, and that’s when security came up to everyone and told us to leave. I asked what was going on and he replied, 'We were told to evacuate the pavilion immediately.'"
The band tweeted this morning (Friday), "The safety of our fans, band and crew is always the top priority for us, so we are so thankful for everyone who jumped into action and for your understanding. We will be back soon!"
The local sheriff's office says an investigation is under way, but no details of what led to the evacuation have been given.
- Some fans are bashing the group for not doing an encore -- but it doesn't seem like it was their call.
- The band has not mentioned what caused the evacuation.
- After many incidents at concerts recently, venues are extra-cautious.
