- Trisha and Garth can afford a designer dog, but instead opted to save a life.
- Do like Trisha -- adopt, don't shop.
- There are plenty of animals up for adoption in shelters across the country.
- If you can't adopt a dog or cat, maybe you can foster one until they find a forever home.
