One-quarter of women said their ideal Valentine’s Day is an evening home alone, while 22 percent say they prefer to spend the day with friends. (SWNS)

Speaking of a solo Valentine’s Day … Tonight The Breslin restaurant in New York City will be hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner -- for parties of one. The meals will be served at the restaurant’s communal chef’s table – and will be prepared by Michelin-starred chef Anita Lo. Lo’s new cookbook,Solo: A Modern Cookbook for a Party of One, was written to empower people to feel more comfortable about going out to eat alone or cooking for one. (Market Watch)
