Bad Yelp review? Blame it on the weather.

Bad Yelp review? Blame it on the weather. According to a new study from Ohio State University, people were three times more likely to leave a negative restaurant review on a rainy day. Restaurant goers were also more likely to be negative about their dining experience on really hot days.

“The mood of customers is going to change depending on the weather, and eventually that is going to influence how they are going to respond to their evaluation of the restaurant,” said OSU assistant professor of hospitality management Dr. Milos Bujisic.

Another reason that bad weather could bring bad reviews? The restaurant staff is probably in a bad mood as well – making the dining experience less enjoyable for diners. More info: (Travel & Leisure)
