HALF-STRENGTH BOOZE IS NOW A THING
Back in the 1970s, light beer was invented – and it totally changed the beer industry.
Now, a distillery is shaking things up with a Scotch whisky that comes in at about 21 percent alcohol – which is half the strength of normal Scotch whisky.
Scotch producer Whyte and Mackay is calling their new product a “light spirit drink” and says it’s made from Scotch whisky along with Sherry.
The company hopes it will appeal to the same younger drinkers who are reaching for low- and no-alcohol beer, cider, and wine. More here: (Food & Wine)
