WEIRD NEWS: A Brush With Death
A teenager in India is lucky to be alive after a bizarre brush with death.
16-year-old Harish Devi sought the advice of a holistic healer to cure his dirt-eating addiction. He was told to eat toothbrushes and an iron nail and that it would get him to stop eating soil. Devi followed the advice and soon began experiencing severe stomach pain.
He was rushed to the hospital where surgeons operated to remove 16 toothbrushes and a three-inch nail from his stomach. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery. It's unclear if he is still eating dirt. (NY Post)

- Um, you're using the toothbrush wrong.
- If he's no longer eating dirt, than you'd have to call this a success, right? Uhm. No not really.
- At least they weren't electric toothbrushes.
