NEW YORKERS TRADING BLOOD FOR BEER
There's a bit of a blood shortage in New York City. Hospitals need people to donate blood for incoming patients -- and it seems that not enough people are donating these days.
With that in mind, a New York blood center has organized a "Pint for a Pint" campaign, offering free beer for people who donate a pint of blood.
New Yorkers who donate blood can redeem their drink vouchers at 25 different breweries and restaurants -- but there's a catch. These drink vouchers cannot be redeemed on the day of the donation. You've got to wait a day for your body to recover before chugging that free beer.
