Does your dog get stressed when you leave the house? Just play some Mozart. A study from Queen’s University in Belfast, Ireland, found that classical music can calm your pup. Audio books … not so much. Researchers played Mozart’s “Sonata in D for Two Pianos” and the audiobook of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” for 82 dogs, and the Mozart worked best to mellow them out. “Dogs exposed to classical music were significantly faster to lie down than animals in the audiobook condition and quicker to settle than animals in the audiobook and control conditions,” researchers noted.
