Family Members Have a Beef Over Broccoli
A family dispute over Chinese takeout has landed a Florida dad and his adult daughter in jail on battery charges.
The problem started when the Chinese food arrived at the family's house in containers that weren't labeled. 51-year-old Bruce Schell became upset because he didn't know which container was the food he had ordered. He only later found out that his son had mistakenly eaten his food. Things quickly turned violent with Schell putting his son in a chokehold while his daughter, Atlantis, repeatedly punched him in the face. Schell's wife, who was not in the room at the time, heard the commotion and called 911. Schell and his daughter were arrested for misdemeanor battery. Schell received an additional charge of domestic battery by strangulation. (The Smoking Gun)
