Fake Psychic And Partner Sentenced In $3M Fraud Scheme: Samantha Stevens, who claims she’s a spiritual consultant, has been sentenced to federal prison for scamming a woman out of more than $3M by telling her she was a psychic and fortune teller. Stevens convinced the victim that a curse had been placed on the victim and her family and that the only way to lift the curse was to perform rituals on “large sums of money.” The only “rituals” Stevens and her partner, Michael Paul Guzman, conducted with the money were buying vehicles, property, and gambling at casinos. The scam lasted four years until the victim ran out of money.
