According to a new study, astronauts need to improve their diet in space.
Researchers were trying to figure out just how much eating healthier food would help astronauts out in space. And wouldn't you know it? Eating more fruits and vegetables -- and more fish -- led to the astronauts performing better, both physically and mentally.
Of course, there are special challenges at work here as all the food the astronauts eat have to be transported into space. There aren't giant refrigerators and gourmet kitchens up there.
But, somehow, some way, the scientists hope to find a way for everyone who blasts into space to eat more than just freeze-dried and vacuum-packed nutrition bars.
