Police in Las Vegas caught a man attempting to urinate on the Vegas Strip, but the information they learned from a quick background check was much more important.
Cops say the 52-year-old man, whose name is Mel Gibson, was seen undoing his pants and preparing to urinate, when he noticed police and stopped what he was doing. Officers approached him and asked for ID, which they scanned and learned that he had a warrant out for his arrest because he was wanted for murder. Back on December 12th, Gibson punched 56-year-old Jeffrey Hadlock in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head. He was taken to the hospital with a skull fracture and brain bleed and died two weeks later.
Initially, police believed Hadlock was drunk and fell on his own, but they reviewed surveillance footage in the area and saw Mel Gibson brutally punch him in the face. Gibson is being held on second-degree murder charges. (KLAS-TV)
