Man Steals Wine From Winery To Hold Until He Got His Final Paycheck: Police in Napa County, California, have arrested a former employee of a local winery for allegedly stealing over $10,000 worth of wine. 30-year-old Jose Martinez was a former employee at the winery; investigators were able to identify him from surveillance footage that showed him removing cases of wine from the storage facility. Police say that Martinez claimed he had stolen the wine (and the van he loaded it into) to make sure he got his final paycheck, which might not cover the bail on the charges of grand theft, receiving stolen property, and taking a vehicle without consent.

Rifle Stolen From Massachusetts Police Cruiser: You have to either be brave or unintelligent to decide to break into a police cruiser to steal a gun. A spokesperson with the Massachusetts State Police said on Thursday that someone forced their way into a marked SUV and stole a rifle in Malden, just north of Boston. The officer did nothing wrong by leaving it there; it’s standard department procedure for troopers to secure rifles in their cruisers while off-duty…they might want to re-think their policy.
