What do you do when you win a record $2 billion Powerball jackpot? You buy a Hollywood mansion…again. After winning the jackpot, Edwin Castro bought a luxury complex in the Hollywood Hills for $25.5 million, and now he’s bought a $4 million mansion close to the gas station in Altadena, California where he bought his winning ticket.
The real estate listing for the new home has a closing date of March 9th listed, which was just eight days after Castro bought the Hollywood Hills property. The new home purchase is less than half of a percent of his $997.6 million lump-sum lottery payout.
