West Virginia Bus Driver Accused Of Dropping Elementary Students Off Mid-Route During Severe Weather: While it’s usually not a good idea to take a busload of children home during severe weather, it’s never a good idea to just drop them off halfway through the route. An unnamed bus driver in Cabell County, West Virginia did exactly that, allegedly kicking students off the school bus in the middle of the route during severe flooding. A fifth-grade student reportedly gathered the other kids up and walked them to a nearby McDonald’s, and the school board released a statement that the driver is “no longer employed by Cabell County Schools.”
