Sure, Blame the Dog

There are many things you can blame on your dog, but a traffic offense is not one of them.

A Colorado driver, who was pulled over for speeding, tried to pull a fast one on the police by switching places with his dog in the car to avoid being arrested. The officer who pulled him over noticed the driver moving around inside the car and then getting out from the passenger side. He told the officer he was not behind the wheel and that his dog was driving. The officer noted that the man was clearly intoxicated and asked him how much he had to drink. Instead of answering his question, the man took off running but only got about 20 yards away before the officer caught him. He was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, speeding, and resisting arrest. The dog was let off with a warning. (CBS News)

Scott's Thoughts:

  • Who's not a good boy? Who's not a good boy?
  • It's funny that he thought his dog would be the one who got in trouble and not him for letting him drive.
  • That poor dog deserves a better owner.
