You Really Can Scream Your Lungs Out AND Cry Your Eyes Out!

A 19-year-old Chinese man was so excited to see his favorite band live in concert that he literally screamed his lungs out.

Doctors say the young man screamed so much and so loud that he suffered a ruptured and collapsed lung. One minute he was having the time of his life, the next he was feeling pain in his chest and having trouble breathing. He ultimately passed out and was rushed to the hospital where a doctor diagnosed him with a ruptured lung from screaming with too much force. (Minute Mirror)

Rare as it is, it's not the first time we've heard of something like this happening. In 2017, a 16-year-old girl in Dallas suffered a collapsed lung from screaming at a One Direction concert. (BBC)

Also... I guess you can cry your eyes out...

A Nigerian comedian who posts videos of himself crying on Instagram recently ran into some health trouble when he cried so much that he temporarily went blind.

Tembu Daniel, who goes by "237_towncryer" on Instagram, was trying to cry for 100 straight hours to break a world record but really found something to cry about just six hours in when he suddenly went blind for about 45 minutes. In addition to that, he suffered a headache and a swollen face. His attempt got him a lot of attention on social media, which was likely his goal, but the Guinness World Records people said they were never contacted by him about his record attempt, nor would they have agreed to monitor someone crying for 100 hours. (OddityCentral)

Scott's Thoughts:

  • So, even if he had pulled it off, he wouldn't have been recognized as the record holder.
  • This idiot almost went blind for a stupid stunt.
  • Oh, cry me a river... but not literally.
