PhD Student Nabbed For Injecting Chemicals Under Neighbor's Door: A doctorate student in Florida is in serious trouble after finally being caught injecting potentially hazardous chemicals into his upstairs neighbor's home. After being unable to figure out where a potent smell was coming from that was bothering the eyes and lungs of his family, Umar Abdullah planted cameras outside his door. Turns out, his downstairs neighbor Xuming Li was using a syringe to inject something into his home. Abdullah says he’s gotten nothing but noise complaints from Li ever since he and his family moved in upstairs a year ago. The conflict finally came to a head when Li was caught messing with the family. Though early testing of the chemical showed up as methadone and hydrocodone, Abdullah says "I still pray and hope that the final lab report says that the chemical is something different, that is something inauthentic and not something hazardous. Because I care for my family, and I just don't want any harm for my daughter." Li was charged with three counts of battery for dispersed chemical agent, possession of a controlled substance, aggravated stalking, and battery on law enforcement via the chemical agent. He has pleaded not guilty.
