SCN: Guy Fakes Bear Attack To Get Help Getting Out Of The Woods:

Guy Fakes Bear Attack To Get Help Getting Out Of The Woods: A man in Ohio has been popped for allegedly falsely reporting a bear attack just so he could get help getting out of the woods. According to the criminal complaint, first responders were called Friday morning to help a lost man in the woods of West Virginia. They were told the man was injured and stranded while yelling “Please help me!”, adding that he was being attacked by a bear. Christian Leonhardt, 47, also allegedly claimed he had been walking for days, his phone was dying, bears were circling him, and that he was going to die. However, after a reported two-hour search, crews found Leonhardt who allegedly denied medical treatment and said he simply wanted a ride out of the woods. Deputies say Leonhardt allegedly confessed that he was “extremely intoxicated” and apologized for wasting everyone’s time… but added that he really needed to get out of the woods. Leonhardt was arrested and was charged with falsely reporting an emergency incident.

Teacher Busted For Hiding Meth In Scrunchie At School Event: A teacher in Indiana has been arrested after allegedly getting caught bringing meth to a school event by stashing it in her hair scrunchie during “Family Fun Night.” Sarah Jayne Duncan was taken into custody late last week after the incident went down at the Helfrich Park Stem Academy. Duncan, who’s an eighth-grade teacher, allegedly took a picture with two students in a photo booth. “After the photo, the juveniles cleaned up the area and located a blueish colored velvet-type scrunchie with a white zipper on the table,” adding, “They noticed the scrunchie was heavier than a typical scrunchie, they opened the zipper pouch and observed a glass vial that contained a white powder substance that the two believed to be drugs along with a cut straw with white powder.” Janitors at the event also claim they saw Duncan “frantically searching” for the scrunchie. She was eventually charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents. Duncan was released on a $1,000 cash bond and is scheduled for a court appearance on September 26th. She has also been fired from her position at the school.
