UBER WILL NOW RETURN PACKAGES!

If you hate returning packages, Uber’s new feature is made for you, and all the other online shoppers who need to send something back, but really don’t like having to deal with the process. The rideshare company is launching a new feature to help take the pain out of returns for online purchases. They’ll do it for you with their “Return a Package” service.

Instead of loading up the boxes in your car and hauling them to go mail them back, users can hire Uber to drop off up to five prepaid and sealed packages to a post office, UPS or FedEx nearby. They charge a flat $5 or $3 for Uber One members. The service is now available on the Uber and Uber Eats apps in close to 5-thousand cities.

All of the packages must be valued at less than $100 and weigh less than 30 pounds. Senders can watch their package’s journey to the post office in real time using live tracking in the app and the courier will even send a photo of the receipt after dropping it off.

Scott's Thoughts:

  • Think of all the time this could save with all those holiday shopping returns!
  • There are times when an extra $5 is worth it!
  • Sometimes I do not return an item I don't want or can't use. Instead, I try to think of who I can give it to!
