Ain't no party like a Gen Z Halloween party

Ain't no party like a Gen Z Halloween party … When it comes to throwing a Halloween party, no one gets more into it than Gen Z. According to a new poll, 42% of Gen Zers say they take their Halloween parties "very seriously," compared to only 34% of Millennials. They all agree that the elements of a great Halloween party are costumes, food, and decorations. When selecting a costume to wear, they said they consider three things: Whether it needs to coordinate with a group, if others will understand it, and whether or not the food will mess up their makeup. Two-thirds of Gen Zers say they need to have a lot of candy at the party, compared to 43% of Millennials. And 61% of Gen Z believe decorations can make or break the party, compared to only 40% of Millennials.

Speaking of spooky stuff...

Best places for vampires ... Halloween will be crawling -- or flying -- with vampires. Most will be kids in costumes going door to door looking for candy, but others may be real vampires out looking for a different kind of bite. For them, the best place to be is New York City. According to a new study, which ranks the best and worst cities for vampires, "The Big Apple" is the best city for bloodsuckers. Researchers based their results on a number of vampire-friendly metrics including human population, and the number of blood centers, casket suppliers, and homes with basements. They also considered vampire deterrents like garlic festivals and sunshine. The least vampire-friendly city is Buckeye, Arizona. Here are the top 10 best cities for vampires.

  1. New York, New York
  2. Chicago, Illinois
  3. Columbus, Ohio
  4. Philadelphia, Arizona
