  • They rated 70 of the biggest metro areas in the U.S. on 37 factors and split the destinations into “warm” and “cold.”
  • They were judged on everything from travel costs and hassles to accommodations to weather.
  • For those who can’t get enough of the cold, the number one winter destination is Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Alpharetta, Georgia. It comes in first for cold-weather activities and second for weather.
  • For the warm-weather lovers, the Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise, Nevada, area tops the list for winter destinations, coming in at number two for attractions and it’s fourth for warm-weather activities.
