MORE THAN HALF OF AMERICANS THINK WATCHING TV IS A GOOD 1ST DATE

The couple that streams together, stays together, a new survey suggests. It asked 5-thousand Americans who stream (100 from each state) about their habits and preferences and found 45% say having different tastes in movies is a relationship dealbreaker.

The poll also reveals:

  • Nearly six in 10 (57%) think streaming a show or movie is an acceptable first date.
  • People watch shows or movies the most with their partner (37%), their kids (14%) and their parents (14%).
  • During cuffing season, both men (27%) and women (36%) are most likely to stream a rom-com.
  • The average person streams 1,112 hours of content a year, which is about 21 hours a week.
  • Almost two-thirds (65%) of streamers like to watch a holiday movie off-season, but women are more likely to than men (74% versus 60%).
