In Connecticut, a Kenyan man has been arrested after being accused of trying to take a hit out on his ex-wife. Leonard Thuo Mwithiga used to be an exec at a bank in Kenya, and now he’s facing jail time for allegedly trying to have his former wife of 22 years taken out…and it was an Uber driver who turned him into authorities. After getting into the rideshare, Mwithiga allegedly started spilling the beans about how he’d followed his ex after she’d run away from him over “abusive behavior.” Then, after saying he was “very, very mad,” he allegedly told the Uber driver that he “needed a hitman” to finish the job. What Mwithiga didn’t know is that the driver had gone to the cops, so the “several occasions” he and the driver had gotten together between September 9th and December 1st were all part of a sting operation to gather enough evidence for an arrest. It seems that revelations that Mwithiga wanted to “inject (her) with something to make her very, very sick”…so she would “die a slow death”…were the final straw…allegedly. Mwithiga is currently being held on $5 million bond.
