A coyote nicknamed “Limpy” who resides in Yellowstone National Park has been accused of suckering tourists out of food by getting them to take pity on him. Photographers familiar with the park claim Limpy exaggerates an injury on his right hind leg to con visitors into feeding him snacks along the main road in Lamar Valley. “He's very predictable,” says wildlife photographer Isabella Smedley, adding, “His limp is much more pronounced when he's along the road.”
So, how did Limpy get his Limp? Apparently, the coyote got hurt years ago when a car hit him while he was eating some dried food left by a sightseer, according to Smedley. Don’t be fooled by this guy, though. The National Park Service prohibits tourists from feeding animals in Yellowstone.
