When you take a trip and check into your AirBnB, you have a general expectation of privacy. Occasionally, however, you hear stories of paranoid or peeping owners who want to do a little spying on their guests through the use of cameras strategically hidden throughout the property. Private investigator Aaron Bond has experience in this area and says that if someone’s going to put up a camera to catch you in a compromising position, it’ll probably be positioned “in a place that gives them the best viewing angle.” With that in mind, if you suspect some snooping’s going on, you’d be wise to check near the “alarm clocks, smoke detectors, televisions, lamps mirrors, air filters, and bookshelves.” In addition, keep your eyes open for objects that appear “out of their natural positions,” or for any “small holes in objects or walls.”
