MORE MORGAN WALLEN MADNESS

Days after the Morgan Wallen "chair throwing" incident, the dust still hasn't settled, as we learn more about what exactly happened Sunday night, and the reactions from all corners of the Internet. Plus there's the fact that there are very real legal consequences Morgan may face over his allegedly drunken stunt. There's quite a bit to unpack; let's break it down for you...

  • Pictures have emerged of Morgan and what he was doing just prior to landing himself in jail; the country singer was photographed chatting with an unknown woman on the rooftop at "Chief's" just moments before his arrest Sunday night. No word on who the woman in the pictures is, but if getting tossed in jail is Morgan's pickup game, it might need some work.
  • In the aftermath of the incident, former NFL star (and frequent headline-maker in his own right) Antonio Brown weighed in, calling Wallen his "Cracker Of The Day" and posting an old mugshot of the singer.
  • Of course, the memes and jokes have been flying all over the Internet this week, but independent country artist Austin Forman had perhaps the most musical take on the situation. Using the melody from Morgan's "Thought You Should Know," Austin's "Look Out Below" is like a play-by-play of what went down Sunday night - including that chair. You can hear his (NSFW) song about Morgan's Sunday night escapades here
  • Speaking of that chair, it's become a focal point for Nashville tourists this week. Visitors to Chief's are asking to see the chair that Morgan allegedly tossed off the bar's roof, leading to his arrest. "People" reports that current pics of the rooftop setup show all the tables with four chairs - and one that has only three. No word on where that chair is. The Nashville PD evidence room?
  • A lot of people are having a lot of fun over the incident, but there are real consequences looming. Wallen's next court date is May 3; he was arrested and charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, which are Class E felonies, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. The felony charges could carry one to two years in prison per count, as well as probation. Nashville-based criminal defense attorney and legal expert David Raybin tells "PEOPLE" that while Wallen could technically face up to six years in prison, the chances of him being sentenced to the maximum and serving all of those sentences consecutively are “very remote” (Sentences can be served consecutively, meaning one after the other, or concurrently, meaning at the same time). "I seriously doubt how he would get consecutive time,” says Raybin. "It’s based on prior record and extreme dangerousness of the offense: professional, criminal, sex offense. It’s a pretty limited category. Generally speaking, this would not be consecutive. [Wallen’s] is a serious offense - I don’t want to minimize it, but still, he probably would not be eligible for consecutive sentences. It’s probably a maximum of two years assuming he was not put on probation." So, while there's a lot of fun to be had over the incident now, it could be no laughing matter for Morgan in the coming weeks.  At least this mugshot is better than the one from 2020.
