It’s not a bad day at all when you accidentally stumble into a lottery jackpot worth over $700K. Cynthia Harris, of Cary, North Carolina, thought she was playing the $2 Bison Bonanza digital instant game in “demo mode” on the North Carolina Lottery’s website/mobile app. She wasn’t. She ended up hitting the “top level Epic Jackpot,” where the odds of winning the progressive game’s jackpot were 1-in-15.5 million. That $2 wager ended up giving her a prize of $736,874, which is the largest digital win since the North Carolina Lottery started offering digital games last November. With that money, Harris says she can now take care of her mom.
