Dating is definitely more complicated these days. In fact, a new survey by Tinder found that 91% of men and 94% of women said that dating has become more difficult in recent years. Despite that, the survey of 8000 heterosexual men and women, ages 18 to 34, from the U.S., U.K. Australia, and Canada found that the majority of respondents (53% of men and 68% of women) are looking for a serious relationship.
So how do you stand out in the dating world to find “the one”? This may make it easier, for the guys anyway. The Tinder survey also revealed the top three things women are looking for when on a date:
- Make sure your date gets home safely. 59% of women appreciated this care and concern (vs. 38% of men).
- Put your phone away. 55% of women prefer no phone distractions on dates (vs. 34% of men).
- Give sincere compliments. 50% of women are looking for real talk (vs. 35% of men).
