The town of Sierra Madre, California has a burglary problem and a repeat offender is on the loose.
Authorities say there is a single intrusive black bear that keeps breaking into homes and stealing food. Residents are accustomed to seeing bears in the neighborhood, and there have been several home break-ins over the past several months, there's one hungry bear that managed to invade five houses in just a two-hour period last week. In one encounter, a woman was home and had to lock herself in a bedroom and hide until the bear left.Â
One homeowner was able to capture the bear on video as it broke through her screen door, opened up her freezer, and stole a package of chicken. (KNBC-TV)
