- Texas leads the country with the number of attractions, including zoos, botanical gardens and amusement parks.
- The Lone Star State also has the second-cheapest 3-star hotel room prices in mid-July and tops the list for accommodations and restaurants per capita.
- On the flip side, Delaware is the worst state for summer road trips, landing in the bottom three for activities. Rhode Island is the second-worst, followed by Connecticut.
