Police in Ohio have arrested a man who's accused of breaking into a pet store and releasing several animals before falling asleep outside with his pockets stuffed with hamsters.
Cops responded to a burglary at a Petland store and found several dogs, bunnies, birds and hamsters wandering around the parking lot. The front door had been smashed in and there were a couple of other businesses in the area, including a restaurant and a shoe store, that had also been broken into.
Officers canvassed the area and found 31-year-old Matthew Pancake fast asleep outside a Big Lots store. According to the police report, he was wearing leopard-print pajamas and was found with four hamsters inside his pockets. Pancake, who has a lengthy rap sheet stacked with arrests, is charged with vandalism and breaking and entering. (The Smoking Gun)
