Each year, Hotels.com releases its Hotel Room Innsights Report. In it, you’ll find data from over 400 hotels the world over, including the most common items left behind by guests. The most commonly forgotten items include dirty laundry, cell phone chargers, makeup, and various toiletries. Oddly enough, the report says that 10% of the hotels surveyed found dentures had been left behind by guests. Other odd forgotten items included:
- A Rolex watch
- Another watch reportedly worth $6 million
- A Hermes Birkin bag (which can go for $20K on the cheap end)
- Luxury car keys and documents
- A car tire
- An engagement ring
- A tooth
- Two full-leg casts
- Stacks of cash
- A lizard
- A chick (the bird…not a person)
Also listed in the report are some of the more interesting requests made of the hotels by guests:
- An “Evian-filled bathtub for a child’s bath”
- A “customized allergen menu for a pet”
- Burnt toast
- A “caviar hot dog”
- Fresh goat milk
- Four pounds of bananas
- A “high-five from a team member to ensure that their request was read”
