When he was 11 years old, Mat Winter found a curious piece of artwork in a local dump and decided to rescue it from certain destruction. Now, Winter has learned the piece dates back 500 years and is a rare engraving from Renaissance artist Albrecht Durer titled “Knight, Death, and the Devil” from 1513. Now, that print is headed to auction, where it’s expected to sell for more than $26K. That’s not a bad payday for a bit of dump diving.
