The battle for the best convenience store in the U.S. has a winner, at least when it comes to customer service. While we all have our favorite places to fill up on gas and grab a snack on the way to work, new research reveals the top choice for Americans overall. Wawa takes first place in the first-ever convenience store study from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).
- The popular Philadelphia-based chain has loyal fans who love their hoagies, as well as their other food options.
- ACSI’s list is based on nearly 6-thousand surveys from customers across the country.
- They rated convenience store chains from zero to 100 in categories including store hours, locations, coffee freshness, food quality, wait times and speed of checkout.
- It turns out, the most popular convenience stores are the ones that focus on loyalty programs and offering good food.
- In addition to their popular hoagies, Wawa’s menu includes hot sandwiches, pizza, quesadillas, along with a full breakfast menu, smoothies and fresh fruit.
- QuikTrip, which serves tacos, BBQ sandwiches and more, lands at number two, followed by Buc-ee’s in third.

Scott's Thoughts:
- The way people go crazy for Buc-ee’s, how is it not number one?
- I still prefer my locally owned stores. Like Joco Mart in Christiansburg or Quick-E foods in Lynchburg.
- I wish we had Wawa and Buc-ee's around here to try.
