It may feel like everyone you know is on or has tried Ozempic or similar drugs, but a surprising new survey has found that most people don’t want to use them. Instead, they prefer good old-fashioned diet and exercise changes.
The survey, by the Consult for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, found that only 23% of people were on board with using injections for weight loss, while 62% had no interest. Even among those who wanted to lose weight, 73% still opted for dietary changes over the injections. “The new findings do not mean that Americans do not want to lose weight; rather, most would prefer to change their eating habits than inject a medication,” said Dr. Neal D. Barnard, president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
