Someone’s unlucky day turned into another person’s really really really lucky day. In Boone, North Carolina, Jerry Hicks found a $20 bill that someone had lost. We don’t know if he tried to find its owner, but we do know that he took that twenty-spot to a convenience store and bought a scratch-off lottery ticket. That Extreme Cash ticket lived up to its name, too, because that ticket ended up being a $1 million winner. Hicks opted for the cash option, and then celebrated his windfall by taking his family to Golden Corral and “eating everything they’ve got.”
