A new lawsuit based out of Oregon is a true head-scratcher. A cyclist was riding along minding his own business, when an ambulance made a right turn and ran into him. After the accident, the driver of the ambulance, seeing that the cyclist had a “fractured nose, scrapes, and other injuries across his body,” picked up the victim and transported him to a nearby hospital. Travis Mayor is the lawyer for the victim, 71-year-old William Hoesch, and he alleges that his client received a bill for $1,862 for the ambulance ride…to go along with the $47K in medical expenses he’s racked up since the accident. Hoesch reportedly also expects those bills to go up another $50K before it’s all said and done. Hoesch’s lawsuit is asking for $997K in damages from the accident…and beyond all of that…it seems kind of amazing that an ambulance company would have the balls to send a bill to someone their driver hit with the vehicle…allegedly.
