Science Reveals The Age You Should Cut Out Drinking For Good

Most people enjoy a nice adult beverage from time to time, but is there an age where you should consider kicking alcohol for good? According to research, there might actually be. In his book, “The Complete Guide to Memory: The Science of Strengthening Your Mind,” Dr. Richard Restak identifies alcohol as a “very, very weak neurotoxin” that’s “not good for nerve cells.” From the age of 65, Restak says bodies have “less neurons than before.” That’s the time, he says, when people should “significantly decrease their alcohol consumption,” with the end goal of completely eliminating it by the time they hit 70. Do with that what you will.
