*LIST* Some Grocery Stores Are Giving Away Free Turkeys This Year

With Thanksgiving just weeks away, you’re probably getting your shopping lists ready for the big feast. The cost of feeding a holiday meal to a crowd adds up quickly, but some grocery stores want to give your budget a boost by offering free turkeys.

These supermarket chains are giving away free birds, but there are some spending thresholds to be eligible.

  • H-E-B - This Texas-based chain has been named America’s number one grocery chain in 2024 and they’re known for promos and discounts, including the free turkey deal. Shoppers can score a free frozen RiverSide turkey, up to 12-pounds, when they buy a spiral sliced bone-in half or whole ham or spiral sliced ham, according to a weekly flyer.
  • Hy-Vee - If you’re hosting a huge crowd, this store has you covered with its "Buy a ham, get a turkey free" promo during the month of November.
  • Giant - Their shoppers can pick up a free turkey by earning and redeeming 400 Choice Points.
  • WinCo - Starting Monday (November 18th), WinCo customers can earn a free turkey by spending $125 on groceries.
  • Acme Markets - They’re offering a free turkey to shoppers who spend $300 anytime between October 18th and November 28th.
  • BJ’s Wholesale Club - This chain is offering members a free Butterball turkey when they spend $150 or more in the same transaction in-club or online by November 14th.
  • Foodtown - Customers at their stores in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania who spend $400 or more by Thanksgiving Day can earn a free turkey.
  • Price Chopper - Shoppers who earn 12-hundred points on their Chopper Shopper Rewards card are eligible for a free Best Choice frozen turkey or Smithfield Hickory Smoked Spiral Half Ham, up to $25 in value.
  • ShopRite - Spending $400 on their Price Plus Club card before Thanksgiving earns shoppers a free turkey or ham.

Talk Back:

  • Free turkeys mean more money for what’s really important … the pies!
  • Are any of these grocery stores in our area? What about ours around here like Food Lion, Kroger and THE WALMART?!
  • I don't need Turkey if I have ham.
