All you internet old heads might’ve forgotten about it, but Skype is still a thing…but it won’t be for long. In May, Skype will officially be killed off. The Skype X account made the announcement, saying that “in coming days” those who still use the service will be able to log into Microsoft Teams Free to stay connected with “all chats and contacts.” Skype started in 2003 and was one of the very first video conferencing apps. Obviously, the tech has grown substantially since then, making Skype an afterthought for the most part in the modern era.
