A Florida woman is letting her voice be heard after recently suffering a bite from a wild raccoon. Gayle Heinz says she felt a bite on her leg after she opened the door to her backyard. After shaking the trash panda off, she says it ran off to a corner of her property and died. Once people realized the raccoon wasn’t rabid, the jokes came, with friends eager to point out that one bite of Heinz was enough to kill the animal. It’s believed that the raccoon took in some rat poison, which is what eventually killed it. Meanwhile, animal control experts are advising people to make sure not to leave food out and to secure trash cans to keep raccoons from showing up in the first place.
