Rescue crews in Wolfe County, Kentucky, were called in to rescue two women who were “stuck in a hot tub” last week. A group of ladies in their 80s were staying at a remote cabin, but found themselves stuck in the hot tub due to “preexisting conditions.” The other members of the hot tub crew thought it best to call 911 when it was clear the women were overheating and close to losing consciousness. Afterwards, one of the women was said to be in critical condition, but both are now said to be recovering well. Experts on hot tubs say that the safest amount of time to be immersed in a soak is between 15 and 30 minutes.
