We talk with Wensday Tumulak of Virginia Blood Services about the importance of blood donations, and maintaining an adequate supply for the needs of hospitals and patients in the area. During summer, the need generally increases – but donations tend to decrease because everyone is busy, on vacation, out of school, etc.
We also discuss the upcoming “Save Our Summer Broadcasters Blood Drive” at the Salem Civic Center on Monday, July 23rd.
