A police spokesperson says that police do not suspect foul play in this incident.
The body of an adult male has been transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
This is an on-going investigation.

The Roanoke Police Department said they are investigating after a body was found in the Roanoke River Greenway near the 300 block of Arbor Avenue, S.E. this afternoon.
Police said they got a call about a person in the river around 12:30 p.m.
Responding officers found an adult man that was deceased.
They closed the river from the Piedmont Street, SE to Walnut Avenue, SE until further notice.
Police are waiting on the Medical Examiner's Office before sharing more information.
