Winter Storm Warning in Effect for Roanoke/Lynchburg Area Through Sunday

LYNCHBURG, Va., (WSET) — A major Winter Storm is coming.

The snowstorm preparing to arrive in Central Virginia this weekend could be the biggest winter storm since Dec. 2018.

The snow will begin on Saturday night, and unlike the last storm on Thursday, the first precipitation will fall as snow.

The heaviest snow arrives on Sunday morning, and the precipitation will begin to change to a wintry mix as the hours go by.

Temperatures will remain below freezing on Sunday for the Lynchburg area and Roanoke.
