Sponsors of the 2022 Central Virginia St. Jude Dream Home came together for the traditional floor signing ceremony, giving their best wishes to the home's future residents.

This year's Dream Home is located in the Trent's Landing neighborhood off Waterlick Rd. in Campbell County.

Last month, 10,000 tickets were offered for the drawing to win the 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2,300 sq. ft. house valued at over $500,000. Tickets sold out in eight days.

The drawing for the winner of the Dream Home and other prizes will be held live on ABC 13 - WSET on Wed., August 24, 2022.

The various sponsors and construction companies involved in building the home met in the living room to sign the plywood subfloor with words of thanks and encouragement before the official flooring is installed.

Since the St. Jude Dream Home program began in 1991, about 650 homes have been built and given away around the U.S., raising over $600 million to fund childhood cancer research and to help support patients and their families.

This year's home is the third to be built in Central Virginia, raising $2.5 million.
