HARDY could be the next artist to open a venue on the famous stretch of honky tonks on Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The award-winning singer-songwriter teased a new bar while catching up with iHeartRadio’s Wayne D, and even confirmed he’s scoping out a location for it.

The “TRUCK BED” powerhouse is slated to appear on iHeartCountry House Party this weekend. Wayne D noted that “at one point, it was like everyone had their own merch shop downtown. It was like this person had a fan shop, this person had a fan shop. And now, it’s like everyone’s got a bar. Is that something in your wheelhouse at any point?”

HARDY grinned as he replied, “yes. …It’s gonna happen.”

He anticipates it could happen within two to three years, per his conversation with Wayne D, though he didn’t confirm many details as of publication time on Tuesday afternoon (March 5). HARDY, who noted he hasn’t made anything official on paper, said opening a bar is “very, very, very much on my to-do list for the next few years. We got a place in mind, dude.”

HARDY would be in good company in Downtown Nashville, which has several up-and-coming bars anticipated to open soon, in addition to existing entertainment venues. Garth Brooks will host the grand opening of Friends In Low Places on Thursday (March 7), Luke Combs aims to “make landfall” with Category 10 this summer, and Morgan Wallen confirmed plans to open a bar adjacent to the historic Ryman Auditorium, to list a few. Those establishments will join others by Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and other country stars.

Catch HARDY on iHeartCountry House Party Saturday night (March 9) at 7 p.m. local time.
