Tuesday, July 2:
Pembroke: Independence Celebration, Mountain Lake Lodge, live music at 6:30 pm, fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Wednesday, July 3:
Amherst: Independence in Amherst Fireworks Celebration, Winton Farm, starts at 6:00 pm. Food and beverages, kids' activities, fireworks. Free for Winton Farm members, $12 per car for guests.

Bedford: Before the Works Independence Day Festival, Liberty Lake Park, 5-10 pm. Food trucks, live music, kids zone, and, of course, fireworks. Admission: $10 per adult, children are free.

Salem: Quest For 10,000 High Fives, Salem Fair, 4-10 pm. Join 107.9 YYD's Scott Stevens out front of the Salem Fair in a Quest For 10,000 High Fives For Suicide Prevention.

Thursday, July 4:
Arrington: Stars & Spurs Festival, July 4th through July 6th at Oak Ridge Estate. Live music, fireworks, Monster Trucks, rodeo and more! Tickets $20 for adults, $10 kids under 10.

Blacksburg: 4th of July Parade and Fireworks, Downtown parade at 2 pm, live music at Municipal Park from 6 pm - 9:30 pm with fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Brookneal: Independence Day Celebration, Red Hill, 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Food vendors, kids activities, fireworks at 9:15 pm. $10 per vehicle.

Buchanan: 4th of July Parade and Carnival, Parade starts at 5:00 pm, Carnival open from 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Fireworks at dark and again on Sat. July 6.

Christiansburg: 4th of July Celebration, Main Street, 10 am - 4 pm. Live music, food trucks, vendors, kids zone. Fireworks at 9:15 at Huckleberry Park.

Concord: 62nd Annual 4th of July Parade and Pancake Breakfast, Parade starts at 10:00 am at Concord Elementary School and goes to the Concord Vol. Fire Dept. Concord Rescue Squad pancake breakfast from 7-10 am.

Danville: Danville Celebrates 4th of July, Carrington Pavilion, gates open at 6 pm, FREE admission. Food, live music, vendors, kids activities, fireworks at dusk.

Forest: Independence Day Celebration, Poplar Forest, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Historical entertainment, art and displays, kids activities. Reading of the Declaration of Independence at 1:30 pm. $12/Adults, 15 and under are Free. Tours of the Poplar Forest house are extra.

Lovingston: Lovingston Vol. Fire Dept. Fireworks at Oak Ridge Estate, 9-10 pm. Free community admission and parking for the fireworks.

Lynchburg: Hillcats vs. Salem Red Sox, Bank of the James Stadium, game at 6:30, post game fireworks approx. 9:30. Fans will be allowed down on the field to view the fireworks, weather permitting.

Salem: Quest For 10,000 High Fives, Salem Fair, 4-10 pm. Join 107.9 YYD's Scott Stevens out front of the Salem Fair in a Quest For 10,000 High Fives For Suicide Prevention.

Salem: Salem Fair, Civic Center Complex. Free gate entry to the fair. Fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Smith Mountain Lake: 22nd Annual Saunders Vol. Fire Co. Fireworks & Fundraiser, Parkway Marina, Huddleston, Admission: $10, food vendors/live music, gates open at 4:00 pm, Fireworks at Dark.

Vinton: Fireworks at the Vinton War Memorial, on the front lawn from 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Music by DJ Flex, food trucks, and fireworks at dark.

Friday, July 5:
Lynchburg: Fireworks on the Riverfront, Riverfront Park on Jefferson St. in Downtown Lynchburg. Food, music and activities start at 6:00 pm. Fireworks over the James River at dark.

Moneta: All American Festival & Fireworks, Spring Valley Farm, 5-10 pm. FREE event! Live music, petting zoo, food trucks, craft vendors, kids' games, pony rides, and more! Fireworks at dark.

Natural Bridge: Dark Sky Night: Independence Day Weekend Stargazing, Natural Bridge State Park, Skyline Trailhead Parking Lot, 9-11 pm. Enjoy a light show in the sky without the fireworks as Park Rangers point out constellations and planets.

Roanoke: Freedom Festival, River’s Edge Park: South, 5-10 pm. Live music, food trucks, Kids Fun Zone. Fireworks start at 9:30.

Smith Mountain Lake: Mitchell's Point Marina, 7-11 pm. Watch from your boat on Smith Mountain Lake, or from your chair at the marina. 

Saturday, July 6:

Floyd: Independence Day Celebration, Floyd Co, High School. FREE admission. Gates open at 12 noon for food trucks, vendors, all-day games, dunk tank, cornhole tournament, live music, and more! Fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Lynchburg: Hillcats vs Salem Red Sox, Bank of the James Stadium. Game 6:30 pm, post game fireworks.

Moneta: FireWORX Fest, 1123 Celebration Ave in Moneta, gates open at 5:30, event from 6-10 pm. Live music from The WORX, food and beverages for sale, kids' activities, and fireworks! $10 per person, 10 and under are free, proceeds benefit the Moneta Vol. Fire Dept.

Smith Mountain Lake: Independence Day Golf Cart Parade, Mitchell's Point Marina, 7:00 pm.
