Suicide is currently the tenth leading cause of death in Virginia, and, nationally, more than four times the number of people die by suicide than in alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents.

“Our hope is that our Quest for Ten Thousand High Fives for Suicide Prevention will inspire the community to utilize available resources and will lead to more lives being saved,” said Scott, who, aside from being New Country 107.9 YYD's afternoon on-air host, is also a Board Member of the Virginia Chapter of AFSP.
